Things often go sideways when we fail to reach our goals and it results in many of us giving up. Then we remain in our comfort zones because we don’t have the motivation to start again. We’re scared of failing again. We don’t want to risk it because the previous experience wasn’t what we expected.
We tend to give up but I’m not letting you do that. I know you’re capable of achieving success. I know you it’s in you!
“Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.”Alexander Pope
Expectations versus reality
Everyone has had an experience like that. Some go on a Tinder date expecting a hot person to show up as their date but then it turns out completely the other way because their date faked the profile picture.
Some start their businesses expecting to start earning big numbers in their first month. More often than not, it goes the other way. Many unexpected things come up and then it becomes a struggle to reach your expected goals.
The point is – expectations are not worth it. Expecting something will only make you confused and frustrated when it doesn’t come true.
If you do things the other way and don’t expect anything, you’ll work your ass off every day to reach new heights. You have to set small goals and complete tasks one by one to not get overwhelmed by everything that’s happening.
If you want to write a book, for example, start by writing a plan. Write a paragraph, then another and soon you will have done more than you would if you were expecting instant results.
Let’s try again
Whether you want to become a better writer, businessman, or simply a human being, you will have to learn a lot. If you’re not willing to learn from your mistakes, nothing will happen. You will just stay at the same place you were and the only changing thing will be the date in the calendar.
Everyone fails but not everyone starts again. We all make mistakes and it’s normal because that’s how we grow. By learning from our experiences, we get wiser and can come up with new solutions to the problem that comes along the way.
It’s actually not a problem but an opportunity. Everything that happens can be and will be perceived differently by different people. One sees a problem and gives up but the other sees an opportunity. A chance to prove himself in these new, unexpected conditions.
Use the opportunity!
Now that the world is literally locked down, it’s your chance to create something you always wanted to. I don’t know what it is but there’s a lot of time to come up with it. For example, I want my blog to have many posts but 20 minutes ago I didn’t even know what to post about.
Then I started to write and everything aligned itself. Ideas came when I started to write. My mind got hungry and I wanted to do better and better. Now I finished writing, gonna do some little editing and there you go! A food for your mind.
